Britain blasted by wind and rain with more than 150 flood alerts issued nationwide

The estimated £100,000 worth of damage caused after 50mph winds brought a tree crashing through Pamela Foster's family home in Bridge of Don, Aberdeen, forcing the terrified family to flee

In Scotland a family escaped being crushed after 50mph winds brought a massive tree crashing through their home (right).
